​A number of exciting fixtures and events are lined up at a number of our local teams over the coming weeks so here's a round-up of the pick of the action.
Venue: Delph & Dobcross
Event: Delph XI v Dilip Vengsarkar's Indian Academy
Date: Fri 28 July
Start: 6:15pm
One of the T20 Trophy finalists play a warm-up match against a very strong touring Dilip Vengsarkar's Indian Academy team. A chance to some of the future Indian stars up against one of our strongest local T20 teams who have a handful of guests playing too. Action starts at 6:15pm, weather permitting.
Venue: Birkby Rose Hill
Event: Huddersfield Charity Match
Date: Sun 30 July
Start: 10:00am
Next Sunday, a charity match run by the Eshaki Foundation takes place at Birkby Rose Hill which features some big stars from the world of cricket past and present. Appearances from Steve Harmison, Simon Jones, Saeed Ajmal, Shiv Chanderpaul and Saj Mahmood along with a few more with a local cricket competition starting the day, culminating in the stars match later in the day. Games, stalls and fun activities will keep interest for the younger visitors.

Event: Big Bridge Bash
Date: Sun 27 August
Start: 10:30am
The second Big Bridge Bash gets underway following the overwhelming success of last year's launch. Again there will be three matches featuring four guest teams; Zimbabwe Rising All-Stars, The Cricket Asylum XI, An England XI and a Rest Of The World XI. Additionally there will be live Music from Wingbeat with another band to be announced, plus a Duck Race, BBQ, Bars, Games for the kids and food from a wood-fired pizza oven.
