ECB Safe Hands Courses

13 Jan 2022

The Huddersfield Cricket League has organised two free ECB ‘Safe Hands’ training courses which will take place this coming March, which will enable all Clubs to train and accredit, or revalidate the accreditation of your Club Safeguarding Officer.

The two identical courses, taking place at Almondbury Cricket Club on Fernside Road (HD5 8PF) at 18.15pm on Wednesday 23rd March or Thursday 24th March 2022 have, between the two evenings, enough space to accommodate at least one person from all 41 HCL Clubs.

As you hopefully realise all HCL Clubs must appoint a Safeguarding Officer (formerly known as Child Welfare Officer) and that person must hold the above ECB Safe Hands training course certificate which must be renewed every three years.

It is expected that many current Officers’ accreditations may have expired over the last year and need to be renewed, so please take advantage of this important course that is provided free of charge.

Each two hour course is being run by YCB’s Ray Knowles and will finish by 20.30pm latest.

Anyone wishing to sign up please respond to directly to League Administration Secretary Mark Binns on mark.binns@hoyer-group.com
