Britain’s leading musical theatre star Michael Ball is set to perform an intimate show at a picturesque Huddersfield village cricket ground on Sunday 16 June 2024.
HARMONIES & HAMPERS will give concert-goers the unique opportunity to see Michael in an intimate and relaxed setting at this picnic in the park style event at the Almondbury Wesleyan Cricket Club in the Yorkshire countryside near Huddersfield.
Michael is a double Olivier Award-winning, Grammy nominated, multi-platinum recording artist and a hugely popular radio and TV presenter. For over 40 years he has been at the top of his game, starring in musical theatre productions in the West End and on Broadway, winning critical acclaim, a devoted following and awards for his stage work and recording career.
He regularly tours the UK as a concert artist and has sold millions of albums over the last 40 years; he’s performed in Australia, China, USA, Japan and, in 2007, made his BBC Proms debut: An Evening with Michael Ball at the Royal Albert Hall which marked the first time a musical theatre star had been given a solo concert at the Proms.
Since joining forces with Alfie Boe in 2016, the duo have sold over 1.5 million albums in the UK, received two Classic Brit Awards, sold out two headline arena tours and presented three ITV Specials!
Michael will be supported by special guest Jenna Lee-James, who joins us fresh from the London’s West End, where she has been performing as lead character Elsa in the stage version of Disney’s Frozen. Jenna previously toured with Hugh Jackman as his featured vocalist on his World Arena Tour ‘The Man, The Music, The Show’. She has worked extensively as a leading artist and soloist in the West End and on tour in the UK, including performing in Concert with Take That at London’s O2 Arena. Jenna also just released her debut album ‘on the edge’, recorded at the iconic Abbey Road studios.
Audiences are invited to bring along their own chair, blanket and picnic to the event so they can sit and enjoy listening live to one of Britain’s most famous and popular singing stars.
