Holmbridge Reach Clubmark Goal

Holmbridge Reach Clubmark Goal

30 Jun 2022

Holmbridge Cricket Club has been rewarded for dedication and hard work behind the scenes by a number of staff and volunteers by achieving Clubmark accreditation by the ECB.

The status, which meets the criteria set by the ECB covers all areas at the club including their busy junior sections. Holmbridge, who joined the league following the dissolution of the Huddersfield Central League in 2016 are the fourth Huddersfield League Club to qualify for Clubmark. We hope this helps pave the way for more clubs to ‘go the extra’ mile in achieving this recognition.

The Clubmark criteria carries numerous benefits, most of which are crucial to ensure your club can reach the next level in cricket such as easier access to ECB grant funding and automatic qualification for cricketing and sporting visas.

Jim Woodhead from Holmbridge said:

“Everyone at the club is proud to have achieved Clubmark and it’s a credit to everyone who works hard running and maintaining the club behind the scenes.  It’s been a huge, but rewarding piece of work from everyone at Holmbridge to achieve this standard and we’re looking forward to maintaining this award for the years to come.”

The league would like to congratulate Holmbridge on this award on the back of what has been a valuable and committed task.
