This week on Castle Hill Cricket Chat, the boys reflect on an opening day that was not short of its usual drama and pulsating matches. In fact, it was a day that records were broken as Linthwaite’s Abdullah Manzoor broke the bowling record for a match. In his first match. Having not played for three months. What a performance!
Abdullah was kind enough to come on the podcast to share his experiences and he was joined by Raheel Akhtar; his skipper at Linthwaite who kept us up to date with how they’ve stabilised and started to rebuild this great club, so the next generations can enjoy cricket there.
We’ve crammed so much into this episode. We’ve looked at the possibilities of the Huddersfield Cricket League becoming an ECB Premier League. We’ve also taken in Cobber’s predictions for the season via what’s officially, the most unrewarding competition to ever take place; Mystic Mog. You can play the game right up until Friday May 6th so get your predictions in with no motivation other than the vague hope there may (probably won’t) be a prize! Click here to play ‘Mystic Mog’.
