We were saddened to recently hear of the recent passing away of Derek Cowgill, President of Linthwaite Cricket Club and to many friends around the league, Mr Linthwaite was what he was affectionately known as.
Derek was a popular man who contributed so much and was a welcome recipient of our highest honor; the F.R. Stallard Cup for long and distinguished service to Linthwaite Cricket Club in 1993. He will be remembered fondly.
We have been informed that his funeral shall take place at 12:30pm on Thursday 2nd May at Huddersfield Crematorium.
