The league wish to inform everyone that HPCL's flagship 2026 Sykes Cup Final between Rastrick CC and Hoylandswaine CC which is scheduled for a week on Sunday 9th August at Honley CC Far End Lane ground is being re-arranged by one week. The Final will now take place on Sunday 16th August, commencing, as scheduled, at 12.00 noon.
This unprecedented decision to move HPCL’s most prestigious game of the season has only been reluctantly taken because both finalists are now involved other high profile competitions which must take place on the 9th, one of which takes priority over HPCL fixtures.
As winners of HPCL’s 2026 T20 Trophy Rastrick CC are now going forward to play in the regional finals day of the ECB’s National Club Twenty20 knockout competition in Nottingham, and Hoylandswaine will play Bradford League’s New Farnley CC in the historic Heavy Wollen Cup competition’s semi-final.
Given these unique circumstances where both our Sykes Cup finalists face fixtures clashes HPCL has decided, on a purely once off basis, to facilitate RCC and HCC to continue to represent the quality of cricket in and around Huddersfield in other very high profile matches.
We are very grateful to host venue Honley CC agreeing to accommodate this change at relatively short notice.
