Kirkburton's two year hold on the Paddock Shield faces a new challenge as they host lower division opposition and await the winners of Almondbury or Mirfield. James Newsome’s strong Premiership Two side have discovered fertile ground in the 2XI round robin competition as they bid to win it for their third season straight. Broad Oak, the runners up in last season’s final will need to wait for the outcome of Holmbridge or Denby who will host them.
Hoylandswaine who won their second Premiership Two title last term and this coming season find themselves competing with 1XI teams in the Conference have home advantage over the winners between Shelley and Rastrick. Elsewhere Honley face a trip to Moorlands of Championship Two and Almondbury Wesleyans who enjoyed a successful first premiership Two campaign will visit Mirfield Parish Cavaliers from a division below.
The preliminary ties are scheduled for Sunday 21 April with the first round matches getting underway on Sunday 5 May.
