Timmy Taylor, Honley’s outstanding all-rounder is the recipient of the Jack Gledhill Trophy a prestigious recognition of the best all-rounder in the league; the second occasion he has received this prestigious award after winning in 2017.
Taylor’s exploits at Far End Lane, his cricketing home since transferring from Lascelles Hall in 2013, have helped thrust his side to the top of the Premiership table where they competed strongly with eventual winners Hoylandswaine. His fluent scoring rate, particularly on his home ground, combined with his guile with the ball has seen him touch 1,000 runs and pick up just short of fifty wickets this season. However, his match winning feats for Honley puts him well above his peers, where he turned the tide of games on a regular basis.
The all-rounder scored a total of 1301 runs and took 62 wickets in all competitions last season - the most with bat and ball at the club - as Honley finished runners-up behind Hoylandswaine. Congratulations Timmy.
