Cartworth Moor are the winners of the F.E. Greenwood Award for most improved ground and facilities for 2022 after a season of work was recognised by the league.
The club, who first joined the league back in 2014 and again in 2017 following the dissolution of the Huddersfield Central League have made considerable improvements all around their ground, slightly isolated on the hill tops above Holmfirth.
‘The Moor’ have proved a textbook example of a club excelling under considerable challenges faced due to their location and modest league positions. Hopefully, their recognition can serve as inspiration for other similar clubs to their stature.
