CCHC Pod #27 - The Umpiring Crisis

CCHC Pod #27 - The Umpiring Crisis

9 Mar 2022

After an extended break, the regular podcast trio of Jamie, Andrew and Steve returned with aplomb with episode 27 and got straight into one of the biggest pressures facing club cricket; the dwindling numbers of umpires.

After addressing any new developments in the game since they last spoke, back in November, the trio got stuck into one of the biggest concerns at the current time. Nigel Brook, a well-known standing umpire also joined the guys to chat about his path to becoming the man in the middle and why the crisis surrounding umpires seems to be getting bigger, rather than smaller.

Of course, if you think now is the time to step forward and get involved in umpiring, you can always make an enquiry via the contact form and a member of the Umpire’s Association will be in touch. Also, if you’d like to come on the podcast and chat about any pressing issues in Huddersfield Cricket, follow this link and fill out the contact form.
