After the third week since the start of the season, the Premiership couldn’t be any more competitive with everyone just about beating everyone. It’s a vivid watch and with plenty of weeks left, there’s going to be a lot of brilliant, agonising and surreal moments to come.
We had the pleasure of welcoming on to the Podcast one of the most, if not THE most successful captains in Huddersfield Cricket League history. Rob Moore from Honley was at the helm of a team that dominated the league and in 15 short years virtually doubled the trophy count in Honley’s long history.
Rob, who is mostly known by his nickname of Archie, was happy to give his thoughts and memories of those years. But it didn’t stop once he hung up his boots either, as the club embarked on a sustained period of serious development on and off the pitch.
Honley is a fine place to enjoy cricket and most of that is thanks to Archie’s work, or direction so this one is a must-listen for those who are determined to set standards at their club as high as it can be.
We also digested an engrossing weekend of cricket which saw some great matches none more so than in the first round of the Sykes Cup which was played on Sunday.
So, settle in for the next hour and a bit and enjoy the show via the player below or head to your usual podcast apps.
