It was a false start as far as cricket may be concerned but it didn’t stop the regular Castle Hill Podcast men from dissecting the latest news in their pre-season special.
Recorded entirely on location for the first time (Thank you Golcar Cricket Club. Apologies for the background noise!) Steve, Andrew and Jamie welcomed previous guest and all-round good egg Jacob Mulhall in the location of his new club. Familiar surroundings since he had played for Golcar back in 2018.
Jacob, freshly arrived back from his second winter stint in New South Wales, updated us on his progress over there and how he’s looking forward to getting back to reviving a formidable opening batting partnership with ‘Cobber’. With the recent downsizing at his former club Lepton Highlanders, we took the opportunity to get his thoughts on the events of what was his ‘home’ club. We’ve also brought in a new feature for guests which is our one minute on-the-spot quiz and we sent down some awkward Lepton questions to see how Jacob’s forward defence was looking.
