We are aware that the previous weekend saw a substantial amount of errors and issues on the play-cricket platform and native scoring and live scores service app.
The ECB's play-cricket team were contacted regarding this and we'd like to keep HCL stakeholders briefed via their reply:
Please accept our apologies for the further problems you have experienced over the weekend. All issues which were observed by or reported to the helpdesk were escalated to the developers during the weekend. The initial issue observed on Saturday which impacted login and downloading and uploading of results from Play-Cricket in PCS and PCS-Pro has been investigated and identified with the developers of Play-Cricket. We are working with the developers in order to mitigate the risk of these issues re-occurring.
The issue impacting PCS and PC- Live users in regards to the apps performance and login failures is still being looked into as a matter of urgency, work was undertaken on the day and over the weekend by the developers to stabilise the App’s which solved issues for some users, further work is now being undertaken this week. Please be assured we are working closely with the developers of the P-C platform and our scoring apps in order to get these issues resolved as a matter of urgency. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience and frustration that this has caused and thank you for your continued patience.
