For the second consecutive year, Marcus Walmsley has claimed the prestigious Jack Gledhill Memorial Trophy for All-Rounder of the Year. His exceptional performances in the 2024 season have solidified his place among the league's elite, contributing significantly to Moorlands' back-to-back Premiership titles.
With the bat, Marcus accumulated an impressive 790 runs at an average of 46.47, placing him 4th in the Premiership run-scorers list. His contribution with the ball was equally formidable, claiming 47 wickets at a stellar average of 14.00, with a strike rate of just 3.91.
By winning this trophy again, Marcus joins an elite group of multiple award winners, including Paul Booth (three times), Steve Whitwam (ten times), and Timmy Taylor (twice). His consistent excellence in both batting and bowling has rightfully earned him this prestigious accolade, reinforcing his position as one of the most dangerous all-rounders in the league.
The trophy will be officially presented at the Awards Evening on 29th November at Baines Hall in Elland.
