League Response To Unlocking Of Restrictions

League Response To Unlocking Of Restrictions

19 Jul 2021

Today marks the first day in the Government final unlocking of most restrictions around the UK in relation to the Coronavirus pandemic. This situation has been discussed at the recent July Executive meeting where it was decided to continue with the league’s restricted cricket rules until the end of the season. In a nutshell there will be no mid game teas, early call offs - bound by the agreement of both teams and umpires - are still allowed along with the reduction in overs at the toss.

The league also encourages clubs to act with caution regarding fully opening up changing rooms, and will respect each individual club's approach to changing room use along with any other issues in relation to our new "freedoms". We also expect clubs to continue to exercise sensible precautions regarding the wearing of masks, hygiene and social distancing inside their premises.
