Meltham CC’s 1st XI has been named the 2024 David Boulton Sporting Team of the Year, an accolade recognising fair play and exemplary conduct on the field. This marks the first time Meltham have won the award since its inception in 1992. The selection is based on extensive analysis of umpires’ markings and input from the league’s committee members, highlighting Meltham’s sportsmanship throughout the season.
Meanwhile, Rastrick CC has been awarded the Tim Sugden Administration Award for 2024. This honour recognises excellence in club administration, including off-field activities, communication with the league, and attendance at meetings. Rastrick’s flawless season on the field was matched by their impeccable performance off it, resulting in this well-deserved award.
Both awards will be presented at the league’s Annual Awards Evening on Friday, 29th November.
