In response to the challenges posed by the unavoidable delay to the start of the season, the Executive Committee has taken decisive action to rearrange the league's fixture schedule. The rescheduling of the opening two rounds of league fixtures has been confirmed, albeit with significant knock-on effects to other matches and competitions.
Originally slated for Saturday, April 20th, the fixtures for Week 1 will now take place on Sunday, July 21st. Similarly, the Week 2 fixtures, initially scheduled for Saturday, April 27th, have been rescheduled to Sunday, September 1st.
As a result of these changes, the T20 Finals Day, originally planned for September 1st, has been pushed back a week to Sunday, September 8th, with a new reserve date set for Sunday, September 15th.
Furthermore, adjustments have been made to the schedule of the T20 Trophy Group matches to accommodate the rescheduled domestic trophy fixtures, such as the Ron Tindall Sykes Cup and the Fired Up Corp Paddock Shield. The first round of these cup fixtures is now set for Sunday, May 5th, with May 12th designated as the reserve date. Round two, and the first round of the Oddfellows/Earnshaw Cups, will take place on Sunday, May 19th, with May 26th designated as the new reserve date.
These changes also have implications for the first round of T20 Trophy Group Games, now scheduled for Sunday, June 2nd. In the event that teams have commitments in the Heavy Woollen Cup at that time, they will instead play on the new reserve date of Sunday, June 30th.
