The 2024 Overseas Player of the Season award has been deservedly won by Pragam Sharma of Almondbury Wesleyans. This is the second time Sharma has claimed this prestigious title, having first won it in 2022.
Sharma’s performances this season have been outstanding. With the bat, he scored over 1,094 runs in league matches at an impressive average of 45.58, with his total across all competitions reaching 1,244 runs. His consistency was underlined by six centuries and four half-centuries in all formats.
With the ball, Sharma claimed 63 wickets at a solid average of 19.75, further highlighting his impact as a true all-rounder for Almondbury Wes. This season marks his first with the club, after stints at Hoylandswaine in 2023 and Thongsbridge in 2022.
Despite Sharma’s individual success, Almondbury Wes find themselves in sixth place and facing the challenge of avoiding relegation in a thrilling final day of the season this Saturday.
