Skelmanthorpe's Reg Wins Tom Walker Groundsman Award

Long-serving Phil Redgwick, who has kept Skelmanthorpe’s Lidgett Lane pitch in top quality condition, has won the 2022 Tom Walker award for best groundsman in the league. The fourth time he has received the accolade.
Redgwick, who divides his time as groundsman at the John Smith’s Stadium; home of Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants, has produced some marvellous playing surfaces at Skelmanthorpe over the years. He last won the award in 2002 and also in 1997 and 2000.The consistency of the wicket condition since has always been of an extremely high level.
