Except in limited circumstances as previously communicated to clubs, at Step 2 of the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown spectators are not permitted to attend Huddersfield Cricket League games which begin 17th April.
Outdoor hospitality is permitted at clubs however, and at any premises serving alcohol customers will be required to order, be served and drink while seated. Any patrons or members of clubs may view cricket if they are in receipt of club hospitality.
Unfortunately this position is not likely to be reviewed by the Government until 17th May at the earliest, and will impact on the first 5 weeks of the season.
Although we understand and share the frustration of our clubs and can empathise with the increased burden placed upon them, we ask that they do their utmost to follow the current guidance, and adhere to the rules surrounding hospitality.
