Emley Clarence and Holmbridge were rewarded for their strong finishes to the season by winning the Hopkinson and Schweppes trophies.
A 100% record in the final six matches was enough for Emley to win their first promotion from the Conference since 2013 to pip Hall Bower on the final day. The run started way back in July following defeat at Linthwaite, embarking on a nine match winning streak including an impressive success against fellow promoted team Lepton Highlanders and a nail biting one wicket victory away at Almondbury, who themselves finished the season winless. Earlier in the season, Emley celebrated victory in the Oddfellows Cup final by defeating Birkby Rose Hill.
Associate Member club Holmbridge 1XI claimed the Schweppes Cup after their five wins from six finish with most wins coming by comfortable margins.
Congratulations go to both clubs.
