The Huddersfield League will once again pit the skills of the cream of our young local talent against a representative MCC team, the third such fixture in what is rapidly becoming an enjoyable annual event since the first match in 2017 to celebrate our 125 year anniversary.
Last season Leicestershire coach and former Holmfirth and Hoylandswaine professional John Sadler brought a side packed with experience and battled out a draw in a match where the DHCL U21 side felt unlucky not to come out on top. You can read the match report from that match here.
This time, the match will be held at Armitage Bridge’s picturesque tree-lined ground on Wednesday 14 August 2019, so book a date in your diary and hopefully the weather will stay fine.
More news on this including team selections will be available nearer the time. Featured image courtesy of The Onion Bag photography.
