The U17 class of 2016 representative team will take to the field one last time this season to take part in the Joe Lumb Cup Final on Sunday August 28th. Huddersfield will face some serious competition in a strong Barnsley team which will be held at Broad Oak cricket club. The 50 over match starts at noon.

In an earlier group round, Huddersfield narrowly lost to Barnsley by 7 runs back in July so Huddersfield will be keenly looking to redress the balance on a familiar ground with great facilities.

The squads are as follows:

Huddersfield: Harry Bissett (capt), Jacob Mulhall, Mohammed Ali, Nathan Swift, Nathan Cyrus, Liam Greig (wkt), Ben Balmforth, Jevan Peacock, Sam Baxter, Musa Ahmed, Jack Hinchliffe. 12th man: Tom Addy.
Scorer: Tim Hirst.
Manager: Roger Peaker.

Barnsley: Nathan Swift (capt), Dylan Smythe, Callum Higgins (wkt), Connor Thompson, Chris Pickford, Jake Hardcastle, Oliver Bennett, Oliver Blackburn, Matty Cox, Jacob Hollins, Callum Bailey.
Manager Darren Crossland.

Umpires: John Mullan and Steve Daveney.

We wish our young talented team all the best for Sunday.
