2018 was the first season that we, as a league, embraced digital scoring by using the ECB’s play-cricket application as our primary source of scoring matches and registering players. It was nothing but a huge success with a huge majority of clubs live scoring during a match.
Obviously with the play-cricket software still in its infancy relatively speaking, changes and amendments to how it works is inevitable so it’s important that we can all stay abreast on any changes and improvements to the software.
The ECB are running a series of nationwide roadshows; events where scorers or club officials can go along and hear from the people that run the software. It’s an invaluable opportunity to give your feedback and network with other scorers on their experiences.
