The Heavy Woollen Cup are seeking new entries for the 2024 competition. A good opportunity for Huddersfield Cricket League clubs to gain revenue from an extra home match or visit new clubs in West Yorkshire.
The deadline for priority applications, i.e. those who entered in 2023, is the 15th December. Once that deadline has passed, the organisation are looking to fill any available positions up to a maximum quota of 32 clubs.

Clubs who enter the Heavy Woollen Cup may also enter the Crowther Cup, but it is not possible to only enter a team in the Crowther Cup; the competition for second teams only.
Recent local winners of the Heavy Woollen Cup were Shepley twice in 2019 and also in 2011. Since that 2019 final, Bradford Cricket League club New Farnley have won it three seasons consecutively
