In early September Hoylandswaine Cricket Club delivered a jaw-dropping performance , posting a club-record 592 for 4 at home against Honley — the highest total in the fixture’s history and a record ECB Premier League total.
After Honley won the toss electing to field, a couple of early wickets bought Luke Bridges to the crease and the batting blitz began. Luke racking up a monumental 210, and Ben Kohler-Cadmore, who chipped in with 204. Samit Patel smashed 145 off 54 balls, maintaining a strike rate of 268.
Honley, faced with an enormous target, offered spirited resistance and finished on 369 in reply. Their innings included a century from Timmy Taylor. Max Morley was the pick of the bowlers with 5-87
